The Park an der Ilm is probably one of the most beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Weimar and extends from the Residenzschloss to Oberweimar. Partly planned by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, it is a striking example of an English landscape garden, full of all kinds of details to discover.
Our walk will start at the Residenzschloss and lead us to the so-called Nadelöhr and the Borkenhäuschen. Then we will flank the ruins of the Tempelherrenhaus and the Mensa am Park and turn to the Römisches Haus. Then we will descend into the valley and walk on winding paths towards the Goethe Garden House and the Stern. Our tour will end at the Ochsenauge.
